SOAR in the Spirit: Cornerstone's Vision for 2026
Each year at Cornerstone, our leadership seeks God’s heart for clear direction regarding the year ahead. This year was no different. Through prophetic ministry, the Lord has revealed that 2026 is to be a year to "SOAR with the Spirit."
SOARing in the Spirit in done by connecting to what is on God's heart and allowing it to lift us up beyond the mess of the World, and keep our eyes on Jesus, lifting us higher.
Just like a plan that has downward forces pushing down from the top, there is LIFT happening underneath. It is that push from underneath...from the CONNECTION with Jesus and the Holy Spirit that will allow us to be lifted above the things of this world!
"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things of the earth." - Colossians 3:2
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come." 2 Cor. 5:17
If we set our minds on things above and believe that we are a new creation in Christ, we will SOAR to new heights with Jesus!

In Matthew 14, Peter asks of Jesus, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." And Jesus does just that! There was a storm brewing around them at the time, but because Peter ASKED of Jesus to come, and HE SAID, Come...the storm didn't matter. A Miracle took place, and Peter was able to walk on the water. It was only when he took his eyes off Jesus that he began to Sink.
May we, in 2026, Seek the command of the Lord and step in His direction! When we do, we will walk on water and SOAR with the Spirit!
Intimacy with God
There is a critical truth to our 2026 vision: we cannot give what we do not have. To soar with the Spirit and in the life of God, we must first ensure His life is alive and thriving within us.
Achieving this requires intimacy with God. It is not our abilities but our availability that allows Him to work through us. As we draw closer to God, He empowers us to fulfill His purposes and equips us for spiritual warfare and Kingdom work.
Will you spend time with the Lord to first hear from the Spirit and then learn to soar on His wings as He leads, and guides us to bring His Kingdom to earth?
